Although Ezekiel is only mentioned twice in the book of Ezekiel, very few people disagree Ezekiel, a priest held captive in Babylon after the second siege on Jerusalem, was the author. The book of Ezekiel is autobiographical recalling his time as a captive in Babylon and visions he received from God. The book of Ezekiel served as a message of warning and a call to repentance and faith.
