There is little doubt Ezra, a Levitical priest, wrote Ezra as a sequel to the book of Chronicles. The first 6 chapters recall the return of the Jewish people to the Holy Land and the building of the Temple. Chapters 7-10 are called the Ezra Memoir. The Ezra Memoir is an autobiographical account of his life as a priest and scribe.
