Dear Founder of the Society of Jesus, a wound you received as a soldier led to your becoming a spiritual soldier for Christ. By reading the lives of the Saints, you changed your life and achieved Sainthood. You learned to appreciate the value of prayer and became a master of the Spiritual Exercises, which greatly fostered retreats. Help all who make retreats to imitate your example by becoming true followers of Jesus.
