Will some people enjoy hell:

Some, when imagining hell envision a place where vice runs rampant. They envision a place of lust, greed and pride. However, when considering the nature of vice and its relationship with virtue, it becomes unbelievable that vice will exist in hell.

Virtue is a gift from God. Vice is a corruption of this gift. Lust is the corruption of love. Pride is the corruption of confidence. The kingdom of God (i.e. heaven) is a place of virtue. To exist outside of heaven is to exist outside of virtue, even in its corrupted form.

Love will not exist in hell. If love does not exist it cannot be corrupted into lust. Therefore, lust will not exist in hell. With neither virtue nor vice there is nothing to be enjoyed.

“I say to you that many will come from the East and West, and will take their place at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
